The Global Collection Merchandiser, reporting to the Global Merchandising Manager, is responsible for implementing a comprehensive 360 business vision. This role includes overseeing the assortment strategy and global activations to optimize worldwide opportunities.
1) Product strategy & collection planning :
Support the overall product strategy, identifying new business opportunities, and analyzing sales data, market trends, and competitor activities :
- Work hand in hand with regions to build a Merchandising Brief, including regions feedbacks, product gaps & opportunities
- Create benchmark documents to support the product strategy
- Business performance analysis combined with qualitative insights
2) Build strong 360° launch strategy :
a) HQ :
Coordinate the 360 activation plan in order to better develop the interactions between all departments and maximize launch effects, including :
- VM: brief teams on collections structures and VM needs & priorities
- Marketing: Align product strategy with marketing activations and communication
- E Com & CRM: Support and align retail strategy, digital channels and clienteling
- Retail: Support the development of tools to enrich retail activities
- PR: set up PR orders and process with supply chain to assure on time deliveries
b)REGIONS :
- Work with each regional Merchandiser to adapt and set the best launch strategy for their markets
- Follow up of global activations
- Analyses of the impact of each activation by region and share the best global practices
3)Training :
- Ensure a regular communication with Training team so Merch priorities are reflected in the Training strategy and launches are well supported
- Manage the deployment and communication of product knowledge between product and training departments
- Contribute on the creation of the Store brief: adding all the merchandising information as prices, clusterings, VM guidelines
Profile :
- Minimum 5 years
- Strong communication skills: effective communication for collaborating with various teams
- Open-minded and curious, you have a good understanding of different cultures and markets
- Analytical and synthesis skills : proficiency in interpreting sales figures & key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting
- Fluent in English, another language would be appreciated
