Peter Lindbergh has photographed Dior's most exceptional ambassadors and muses, including Marion Cotillard and Charlize Theron, and put his inimitable stamp on the Lady Dior and J'Adore campaigns. The photographer was one of the house's closest collaborators. This latest work is a joint, original creation, faithful to the artist's spirit and heart.

Seventy years of Dior history projected into the hustle and bustle of Times Square, right in the middle of New York. Such was the concept behind Lindbergh's project, a crazy idea in its scale and scope, but one that convinced Dior to exceptionally authorize the release of an unprecedented number of silhouettes from their archives to take them across the Atlantic.

The result is electrifying. Amid the hustle and bustle of Times Square, Alek Wek resplendent in a Bar suit, the historic ensemble that launched the House of Dior in 1947. Captured on the streets, models Saskia de Brauw, Karen Elson and Amber Valletta stroll through the crowds or in the studio, dressed in haute couture creations from Christian Dior to Maria Grazia Chiuri. In black and white or color, Lindbergh's images beautifully highlight the details, lines and materials of each model.

Lindbergh himself is present in every aspect of this book designed by his long-time collaborator and friend, Juan Gatti. This book presents 165 previously unpublished photographs, accompanied by an introduction by Martin Harrison. It celebrates the deep bond between Lindbergh and the House of Dior by bringing together over 100 photographs of creations, from haute couture to ready-to-wear, men's and women's, originally published in the world's most prestigious magazines. A dazzling tribute to two pillars of fashion and photography, and to their eternal collaboration.
