Retail Education Manager

Position

The Regional Retail Education Manager plays a key role in driving and implementing the fragrance, client experience and selling skills and Generic Staff education strategy in Travel Retail Europe (TR EUR).

As the subject matter expert in fragrances, you will be an integral part of the regional training team to adapt and create content for over 420 Beauty Consultants in the region. You will lead the specialist development plan and build a community of passionate Dior fragrance specialists.

With responsibility for transversal projects in client experience, selling skills and generic staff engagement, you will oversee the strategy and drive BC and GS engagement both online and offline. You will ensure the right adaptation of selling techniques in travel retail for BCs to be empowered with the Dior retail values, service standards and sales methods.

Together with the education and marketing team, you will collaborate to organize events such as BC conventions, inductions and other engagement activities.

Reporting to the Head of Retail Education, you will also work closely with the Training Managers (TMs) to support their training content needs, and with the Marketing team to refine retail tools, services and exciting experiences for our customers.

Job responsibilities

FRAGRANCE CATEGORY TRAINING

  • Adapt and transmit centrally-created Fragrance training modules and tools for TR EUR, collaborating with Regional Fragrance Marketing and each market’s TMs on needs and strategy. 
  • Ensure the proper adaptation and rollout of digital fragrance modules, deliver Train-the-trainer to TMs on key modules.
  • Closely follow global and regional fragrance trends, transmitting them to the field team through creation of digital content and videos.
  • Together with the Regional Training team, lead and produce Generic Staff 3-axis training modules and tools.
  • Work with vendors to translate and proof-read Fragrance training content developed by Central and/or Regional.
  • Collect feedback to continuously improve quality of materials to address the markets’ needs, provide advice for category and trade marketing and business development teams on services. 
  • Plan fragrance learning calendar and maintain fragrance modules library, ensuring that all content is available in a timely manner to support launch calendar.
  • Adapt fragrance services according to the region’s needs and implement in timely manner (with launches, new openings, pop ups etc.)
  • Update and innovate on retail tools (PCD geography / fragrance investigation / LCP tools) used by BCs

 

FRAGRANCE SPECIALISTS DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

  • Identify, develop and monitor Fragrance Specialist population, plan and rollout yearly Fragrance certifications with TMs.
  • Build field team’s passion for fragrance and related selling skills, organize fragrance workshop at annual BC Convention and Specialists Seminar.
  • Maintain frequent communication with specialists and BC community via the digital training app, share relevant retail information and social media buzz updates.
  • Work closely with markets to consolidate and share key insights on local consumer trends and selling approach.
  • Field coaching at key point of sales (10% of time)
  • Support the Head of Retail Education with budget updates on tools and expenses.

 

CLIENT EXPERIENCE AND SELLING SKILLS

  • Responsible to select the relevant modules and educational content on client development such as D.I.O.R. Selling Method and Dior Signature
  • Collaborate with markets to adapt the selected client development modules and content to the right TR context
  • Follow the rollout of new modules and feedback to central teams on the progress of the key client development modules
  • Field coaching at boutiques and key point of sales (10% of time)

 

BC CONVENTION WORKSHOP ORGANIZATION

  • Together with the Training and Marketing team, to organize the Fragrance workshops for the annual BC Convention
  • Manage Fragrance workshops rundown and resources required.
  • Collaborate with training and retail teams to ensure smooth logistical and organizational processes.
  • Ensure clear communications with attendees pre and post seminar.
  • To collect workshop feedback post-seminar and conduct evaluation with key internal stakeholders and external vendors.

 

LOGISTICAL SUPPORT

  • Consolidate the yearly uniform forecasts
  • Consolidate and produce if necessary the Fragrance tools for training
  • Update and communicate the yearly BC allocations form

 

FIELD COACHING AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENT

  • Field coaching at boutiques and key points of sales, approximately 25% of time, including travel.

Profile

Business school or Master's degree in pedagogical Engineering, supplemented by a first experience in training, commercial/retail service, if possible in the field of luxury or significant operational experience in retail management.

You have good writing skills (ability to write educational objectives/storyboards), very good communication qualities (in order to deliver impactful trainings and coaching) and a creative spirit.

English compulsory, another language would be a plus.
