THE CONTEXT
CHANEL Fragrance & Beauty is developing its relationship with the clients through different channels: Stand Alone boutiques, Department stores, beauty chains and Travel Retail. The client experience in all these touchpoints must be executed with the highest standard of excellence, considering the specificities of each touchpoint.
YOUR MISSIONS
1/ Define and frame global division’s vision on Retail Excellence across all offline distributions while working with on-line distribution team to identify synergy
PERFORMANCE: How to define the success of our POS? How should key performance indicators evolve?
- Identify common KPIs: work with global finance and Retail marketing to standardize business/sales, clients, service and experience KPIs and assure the best way of tracking and continuous improvement action.
OPERATION: How to elevate the standard of the customer experience in Chanel's own distribution?
- Review and devise a global recommendation on Standard Operating Procedure to align on major brand posture.
- Identify implications and requirement on system support
- Evolve and adapt this global guideline towards omni-channel retail vision.
- Identify opportunities to streamline retail operation efficiency in order for our BCs to focus on clients.
PEOPLE: Who are the future Retail leaders? What skill sets are critical?
How to engage and support them?
- Develop a program of development for Fragrance & Beauty POS managers across all distributions.
- Continue to animate this community to develop and engage
- Partner with Retail Education, HR, CRM, identify new critical skill requirement of our retail staff in view of the retail evolution and distribution vision of Global Division
CLIENTELING:
- Partner with global Retail Education and CRM team, develop the overall clienteling strategy and ensuring its deployment in regions
- Define annual Clientelling priorities.
- Monitor the implementation of F&B Clienteling guidelines and anticipating their evolution.
Retail Excllence Culture: Infuse Retail Excellence mindset and culture within the Division: global, regional and local
2/ Worldwide Boutique projects
- Standardize a global business brief on boutiques
- Challenge, advise and align business brief on key boutique projects: opening and renovation
- Ensure aligned business brief to be followed up by MPOS and global AD teams
- Track annually the average age of our boutiques in the world and align on renovation timing with regions
- Partner with MPOS, monitor new concept results (both quantitative and qualitative) and provide feedback and recommendation for area of improvement.
- Keep active watch on the trend and evolution of luxury fragrance & beauty retail, nourish future concept and experience definition.
3/ Direct management of a senior Retail Excellence project manager, a Clienteling project manager, and a Retail Performance Assistant.
YOUR PROFILE
- 10 years + experience in Retail and/or Retail Excellence
- Direct team management and project management
- Ability to synthesize complex business challenges and projects
- Show drive and strong initiative in new ideas and the courage to challenge status-quote
- Excellent relationship management in order to engage internal and regional/market stakeholders
